Refreshing, flavorful and an impressive frosty cocktail with only minimal ingredients! Strawberry Frozé will be on repeat at our house this summer!
I have been wanting to make Strawberry Frozé for years. Seriously, Y E A R S! Now that I made it, I’m not sure why it took me so dang long! It could not be easier — just a few ingredients you might already have on hand and a little prep and you are set!
Similar to the Rhubarb Mojitos, you will need to make strawberry simple syrup. It is called “simple” for a reason because, well, it’s simple! I like to make a bigger batch of this and use it for other cocktails in the summer! HINT: if you want to make the cocktail for next week/in the next post, make a double batch as we are using it for our next round! The other “prep” that is helpful, but not required, is freezing the Rosé. I just pour the bottle of wine into a shallow food storage container (these are hands down my fav–the biggest one is the perfect size!) and pop it into the fridge. It won’t freeze completely but it creates a wine slush that you can scoop out into the blender.
I cannot get over how refreshing and delicious these are! Perfect for a crowd as well–the recipe makes 4 large drinks but you can absolutely pair it down to a single serve as well! If you are in need of a blender that makes *perfectly* smooth drinks, we absolutely LOVE ours! I was very skeptical because of the price but this bad boy is a fraction of the cost of the high end blenders and seriously works like a dream! The smoothie cup works perfectly for a single serve Strawberry Frozé, I tested it 😉
I hope you LOVE this cocktail as much as I do! Be sure to tag me on the ‘gram if you try it out so I can send you a virtual cheers!
Strawberry Frozé
Ingredients
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup white sugar
- 3 cups frozen strawberries–divided
- 1 bottle Rosé wine — I used Fit Vine
- A few fresh strawberries, for garnish
Start by making the Strawberry Simple Syrup— bring the water, sugar and 1 cup of strawberries to a boil while frequently stirring. Let gently boil for about 5 minutes. Keep an eye on it, the last thing you want is this spilling over onto your stove, it’s a sticky mess! Remove from heat, cool for a bit. Once cooler (can still be warm), strain the strawberries and strain into a glass jar/container. Put in the fridge and let chill completely.
Optional step–freeze Rosé wine in a shallow baking dish/glass storage container/ice cubes prior to making cocktail. This isn’t required but does ensure the cocktail stays nice and frosty!
When ready to enjoy your Strawberry Frozé combine the Rosé, 2 cups of frozen strawberries and 1 cup of the strawberry simple syrup into a blender. Blend for a long time until it is suuuuper smooth.
Pour into a pretty glass (I used these) and garnish with a strawberry.
This recipe makes 4 nice sized cocktails. For single serve use 1 cup Rosé, 1/2 cup frozen strawberries and 1/4 cup strawberry simple syrup.
Additional strawberry simple syrup can be added, if you prefer a sweeter cocktail!
