The best tasting and easiest margs you will ever make! Added bonus: you can make these ahead of time, pull them out of the freezer, rim with salt and enjoy! Perfect for a entertaining so you don’t have to stand over a noisy blender with company over!
Gosh I love a good marg! I actually love tequila–always (since I was legal, obviously 😉 have! These Beergaritas have a fun twist as they, well, have beer in them but they can also be made ahead of time, frozen in a cute mason jar and enjoyed at will. Um, Beergaritas ANYtime, sign me up! The trick is using a super powerful/high speed blender for the right consistency. I had been debating on what blender to get for years–I wish I was kidding! Finally, after reviewing what felt like a million reviews, I landed on this Ninja blender that truly makes the most smooth margs I have ever had! The key is letting the Beergaritas blend for a long time– they almost get frothy! Yum!
Once the Beergaritats are properly blended, I pour them into these mason jars and seal with these lids. Into the freezer they go (usually overnight) and they are ready whenever you are! I take them out of the freezer, remove the lid and immediately take a lime and rim it then dip it in salt! This is optional to some, but not me 😉 If you let it freeze long enough, it should stay in the jar. Then I take a spoon and “slush” the Beergarita up a bit. Because of the alcohol and blender it doesn’t freeze solid content the consistency is soooo good!
These are perfect to pop in your cooler and head out to the lake since they will thaw just enough to enjoy on the boat! My girlfriends and I have been trying to figure out how to get the blender to operate on the boat but so far have not been successful! In the meantime, we will be enjoying these Make Ahead Mason Jar Beergartitas!

Make Ahead Mason Jar Beergaritas
(Makes 5, 16 oz. wide mouth mason jar cocktails)
Ingredients:
- 6 cups of ice (roughly)
- 12 oz. limeade concentrate
- 6 oz. tequila — don’t use your fancy/nice tequila for this!
- 1 can of light/shandy beer
- Limes
- Rimming salt
Directions:
Place ice in blender.
Pour in the limeade concentrate, tequila and beer. Blend on high speed for a few minutes, until smooth and frothy!
Pour into mason jars, secure the lids and pop them in the freezer to set up a bit. I generally let them freeze overnight.
When you are ready to enjoy, take a lime slice and sweep it over the rim of the jar. Immediately dip into the salt — it *should* be set enough (depending on how long you let them freeze!) to do this!
Then take a spoon and slush them up a bit to the most perfect consistency.
NOTES: You can absolutely just enjoy these straight out of the blender, no additional freezing required. They are PERFECT that way –this method simply allows you to make them ahead of time!
